The program costs $680 for the semester.

Students are expected to provide their own instrument for the duration of the program, however amps, piano and drum kit will be provided. Drummers need to bring sticks and cymbals, bassists and guitarists need to bring leads.

Yes! We encourage a diverse range of musicians to apply. We strive to incorporate a variety of styles into our repertoire.

+ What happens in the audition?

Applicants must prepare and perform 2 pieces of their own choice, preferably by memory. These can be of any style; just play something you like! There will also be a short interview in which we ask you about your musical history and test basic musical skills including:

  • repeating clapped or sung phrases
  • reading chords and melodies
  • knowledge of basic chords/scales

+ I play more than one instrument. What should I play in the audition?

We would like you to prepare two pieces on the instrument you would most like to play in the program, and prepare an additional piece on your second-favourite instrument.
